About text: Lazdynų Pelėda - Motulė paviliojo (Allured by Mammy)

A wide theme in the works by Lazdynų Pelėda is the fate of unhappy children. One of the best works of this type is a short story "Allured by Mammy". This work is one of the most artful stories written by Lazdynų Pelėda. The feelings of exploited unhappy orphans are extremely picturesque. Childish naiveté, longing for mother are very credible, the harmful effect of the environment on a soul of a child convincing. The work is full of deep sympathy for poor children who perish too young and hate for the exploiters of orphans.
